Hi, I’m Gabe, a 5th-year PhD candidate in Applied Wildlife Ecology at Yale University. I believe science can help create a world where everyone thrives. For example, did you know that mice in your home and high heating bills could be related? Poor insulation and gaps in your home can invite rodents while also wasting energy. My work looks at ways to solve both problems—by improving energy efficiency and using integrated pest management (IPM) to reduce human-wildlife conflict, save money, and improve health. My dissertation explores how understanding rodent behavior and pathogens can help design tailored solutions to these issues.
